Rainbow's Bridge
Seneca's A Lick And A Promise
December 26, 2008- June 7, 2010
Rainbow or Mr. Bow
Rainbow was a special puppy from the start. Always a looker and a always talker he captured
our hearts at 3 weeks old and never let go. At 9 weeks of age Rainbow was diagnosed with a
severe heart murmor. Although he had a loving family lined up to adopt him, and counting
the days to bring him into their lives, my husband and I decided it would be best that he stay
with us forever, however long forvever maybe.
He was given a very grim prognosis from the cardiologists at Purdue University, and they
warned us that he may not live much past 6 months of age. Rainbow was a fighter and proved
many wrong as he spent 17 months with us. Rainbow lost his battle with heart disease on June
7, 2010; a day that will always be remembered.
I wish to thank all of my friends, my family, Dr. Heather Baker, and the cardiology team at
Purdue University for giving me the hope, fortitude, and the knowledge necessary so that
Michael and I had best 17 months with our dog that a couple could ask for. There will never
be another Rainbow, but I am certain his spirit will guide me for the rest of my life.
We miss you Mr. Bow.
Love you forever,
Janelle & Michael
