Some things you can't explain and sometimes you just have to remember all the good days. If wishes were horses... I would do anything to have you for another day.

Tippy passed away on October 12, 2013. Life is too short to not appreciate every good day with a friend. A necropsy was performed on Tippy's body to help us & science understand what may have happened. Unfortunately, the pathologist did not find a clear cause of death. However, the only notable finding was a hemothorax. No genetic diseases were found, no abnormal bloodwork, no abnormal organs, no neoplasia/cancer or ruptured masses, & no bleeding disorders/platelet abnormalities. The anti-coagulant screening was negative, so no ingestion of toxicity like rodenticides etc. The pathologist noted that she was a healthy, robust female in good condition. Unfortunately, the only assumption the pathologist could make is that Tippy sustained some life ending trauma to the chest which ultimately caused her untimely death. All I know is she made the past 6 years eventful, lively, and fulfilled. We will miss her forever. Nothing has been the same since she died but I hope her tenacity, braveness, loyalty, and leadership qualities live on in all her kids. This dog touched us beyond words. Michael & I are so grateful we were chosen by her breeder to be her family. Thanks you to everyone & everything who helped to give Tippy a great life (including the vermin).Rest in peace sweet Tippy... you know I can't wait to see you again, and maybe even complain that you give me no room at the foot of the bed... Love you Tippers! Michael misses you every day
