September - National Speciality
Wow, what a crazy busy week at the 2019 GSMDCA National Speciality held at Hueston Woods! So much to do, but so little time! This was such a memorable year for me, as I was able to exhibit entry from six months all the way up to 11 years! So many moments to reflect on that were special for me!
Dove (Trick x Salty) showed her heart out with me in the blistering sun in the best of breed ring and in a huge entry of specials the two of us came out as the 2019 National Speciality Best of Opposite ribbon holders along with Best of Breed Owner Handled Award! Wowzer, what a thrill!! Heartfelt thank you to Mary for sharing this special girl with me, I couldn't be more pleased. This win also qualified Dove for Crufts!!

Bentley took the whole experience in stride and showed off his absolutely darling face and fancy trot!

Oh, the Veterans! This was an extra special trip to be able to take with Zippo (Stevie x Kayak) from my very first ever litter - this was her first time showing in the veteran ring and it was so sweet. Coming full circle having Kristin Kleeman judge her in the Independent Sweepstakes was neat, she helped evaluate Zippo as a baby puppy! Mayday (Carl x Scandal) was the oldest exhibit in the entire show and she handled the ring with the grace of a seasoned veteran - good girl, Baby Day! Mayday and Zippo have become inseparable over the years so if one went the other had to and I think they enjoyed this trip together getting to be pampered veteran showgirls! Also, Shine (Klaus x Kayak) had spectacular show going Best Veteran and Award of Merit at the National Speciality qualifying her for Crufts and going Best of Opposite Veteran at the Independent Specialty - congratulations to Shine's co-owner Liz on these accomplishments as well. All three girls did me proud!
